Concrete Favourite: Don't Tell Charles
The infectious concrete motif has found a new niche: designer cakes.
Hidden in Kensington, Melbourne, Don’t Tell Charles serves Padre coffee, specialty desserts, and custom handmade cakes - including concrete (looking) cakes. Operated by baker and buttercream master, Thao Pham, and her coffee crafting partner, Rob Townsend, DTC has created a local gem for creative sweets. These buttercream coated cakes have got Concrete Cat drooling.
Fun fact: The name Don’t Tell Charles references King Charles II who during his reign attempted to ban coffee shops because they were speculated to be places where men would gather to discuss politics of his Majesty and Ministers.
